While Better Globe Forestry develops across East Africa, countries such as Tanzania provide ample opportunity within the forestry sector, and can act as viable partners for Better Globe Forestry’s work. Tanzania is home to its own forestry organization (much like the Kenya Forestry Research Institute), and the Tanzania Forestry Research Institute (TAFORI) is a unique institution that operates within Tanzania for the purpose of forestry education and development. Since its humble beginnings in 1893, TAFORI has propelled itself into the frontline of Tanzania forestry research, and offers a diverse group of research centers in different agroecological zones for Tanzania’s unique landscape. With the help of TAFORI, the possibilities for forestry research in Tanzania are endless, and the work of Better Globe Forestry can continue beyond East Africa.
