It has been an exciting year so far for Better Globe Forestry. In March, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yele Ikom Can Atur Farmers’ Association (YICAFA), a farmers’ association in Dokolo district, Northern Uganda, to plant an enormous amount of trees in the country. This extends Better Globe Forestry’s mission to plant as many trees as there are people on the planet beyond Kenya and into other parts of the continent. The MoU marks the launch of a tree planting project that will benefit thousands of farmers in Uganda, and brings us one step closer to eradicating poverty in the area, while also creating more environmental awareness.
